AUGUST, 2002

Mittie's Tea Room was the scene of our August outing. We gathered out front and conned a passing jogger, all agap at all the crazy old ladies in red hats, to take the photo.

Sergeant-in-gloves,Mary, read the poem, and Mary Pollock took the oath as our newest member.

September, 2002

We graced the halls of the famous Blue Willow Inn in Social Circle.... the city General Sherman refused to burn, the Inn made famous by the late Lewis Grizzard and by its scrumptious fried Green Tomatoes and other southern delicacies.

Nancy was installed as our newest Vintage Violet.

November, 2002

Absolutely incredible Cajun lunch at Pappadeaux. We wanted to make our wonderful waiter, Edouard, an honorary member of the Red Hat Society and promised to bring him his own red hat next time we come to Pappadeaux. We weren't worried about making his wife (girlfriend ??) jealous since we are all old enough to be his Mama.... and we think Pappadeaux should give him a nice raise for putting up with us or at least make him "waiter-of-the year"!
